Robin Kendrick-Yates is a retired physician assistant. He worked in pain management at MD Anderson where he cared for people suffering with cancer, its treatment and often their death. He has found healing in caring for nature, especially sea turtles. He was a Boy Scout and national honor society student in school. He is now a Texas Master Naturalist and scuba diving instructor. He is passionate about picking up and decreasing marine debris-especially single-use plastic, styrofoam and cigarette filters (butts). He leads cleanups of the shore and beach by kayak and foot. He strives to make the ocean a safe place for the turtles and fish we love and depend on!
All activities related to this photo were covered under permitted research projects.
Robin began volunteering for Turtle Island Restoration Network in the sea turtle nest patrol program. After multiple conversations about the marine debris he was discovering on the beach, we reached out to him to help us launch this new beach cleanup program. Way to go, Robin!
